Ride the Mountain Coaster during the day or at night. When the sun goes down, most of the coaster is nearly pitch black with the exception of some twinkling lights as added decoration.
Riding the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster
To get to the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, an uphill lift system will take riders to the top of the mountain. On your way up, be sure to take in the view. Once you arrive, riders will have the choice of either a single or double coaster car.
Before you take off, a staff member will go over the safety rules with you. Be sure to ask them if you have any questions before your ride begins. Once you give a thumbs up that you understand all of the rules, your ride will start.

Getting Tickets to the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster
Tickets to ride the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster can be purchased in advance online or in person at the ticket office.
Single-rider tickets cost $16, double-rider tickets for two adults cost $27 and a parent-child combo costs $24. An unlimited one-hour pass can be purchased for $30, allowing you to ride as many times as you want in one hour. Or, you can purchase an all-day pass to return any time you want within one day.
Tickets can not be purchased in the hour before the coaster closes.

Save money when you ride the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster twice in one day. If you decide to return for a night ride, bring your first ticket to receive a discounted ticket for a second ride.

More Information About the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster
The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is open year-round even in rain and snow. Those interested in riding the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster must be at least 56-inches tall. Children (ages 3–9) must be accompanied by a rider who is 16 years of age or older with a valid ID. Children under 3 years old are not permitted to ride the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster.

The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is open Sunday–Thursday from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.–10 p.m.
