The Tennessee Smokies will play host to a variety of patriotic festivities in 2026. This is a region that holds a number of annual Independence Day celebrations, and with the Semiquincentennial underway, the events here will be even more exciting!

Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is a top destination for Independence Day celebrations in the region. In honor of America’s milestone 250th anniversary in 2026, kickstart patriotic festivities with a visit to Gatlinburg SkyPark’s Festival of Flags, May 15-July 5.

On July 3, head to Downton Gatlinburg and join the local community at the Annual 4th of July Midnight Parade. The next morning, on July 4, meet at the Edgewater Hotel & Conference Center for the Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta, which runs from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. Then, keep the fun going with more activities that evening at the 4th of July Drone Show & Fireworks Finale. This top event features approximately 200 drones!

Pigeon Forge

On July 3 and 4, the Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival 2026, held at Patriot Park, is another premier and beloved event in the Tennessee Smokies. In 2026, the festival will span two days and feature a 250th theme. Come celebrate our nation and enjoy live music, fireworks and much more.

Sevierville

Townsend

On July 4, the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center will hold theIndependence 250 Concert on the Fourthfrom 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In addition to a live concert in the center’s amphitheater, experience character portrayals in revolutionary costumes. After the event, enjoy a fireworks display in Downtown Townsend.
