Located in the foothills of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Sevierville is music superstar Dolly Parton’s hometown. Visitors to this beautiful and interesting part of the world enjoy natural wonders, world-class entertainment and high-end, name-brand outlet shopping, all served up with signature Southern charm.

Across Sevierville, you’ll have opportunities to embrace the natural surroundings while hiking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding and more. Rent a kayak for a relaxing day on Douglas Lake or enjoy boating, canoeing, jet skiing and more. Fishing is also popular, both at the lake and in Sevierville’s Little Pigeon River, which runs throughout the city and is home to a world-class smallmouth bass fishery.
While Mother Nature certainly takes center stage, Sevierville’s attractions are a must-see and range from discovery zoos and thrilling zip line attractions to mini-golf courses, go-kart tracks and even a massive trampoline park. Plan a visit to SkyLand Ranch—a picturesque mountaintop farm featuring a mountain coaster, entertainment, shopping, dining and a variety of miniature animals to meet. Nearby, Soaky Mountain Waterpark offers family fun in the sun with thrilling waterslides, kid-friendly play areas, a massive wave pool and family-sized cabanas to keep things cool.
Around town there are several new things to see and do this year. Memorial Day weekend the world’s largest Buc-ee’s will open in Sevierville near the 407 interstate exit. With 120 gas pumps, a 250-foot-long car wash, and 74,000 square feet of retail delights, this is one stop that shouldn’t be missed! Xperia: Ocean Journey will also open this summer at Tanger Outlets Sevierville. This immersive cinematic experience will give guests the feeling of exploring the ocean while interactive and educational elements provide an educational component everyone will love.
Historic downtown Sevierville is well worth a visit. Pick up a free Discover Sevierville Historic Walking Tour brochure and learn about more than 40 points of interest, including the famed statue of Dolly Parton.

Snap a quick photo, then buy a little something to commemorate your visit to her hometown—there are a variety of unique boutiques. After that, stop for lunch or dinner at one of Sevierville’s new downtown eateries and check out the city center’s vibrant art displays. You can even enjoy after dinner drinks, snacks, and games at The Pines Downtown – which just so happens to be located in the former Pines Theater building, where Dolly played her first paying gig in 1956.

Enjoy a great wine, craft beer or specialty cocktail—then see how the local spirits are made. Enjoy a visit to one of Sevierville’s many distilleries, wineries and breweries—many of which also offer tours and samples to guests of age. Get the free Sevierville Sipping Pass online at VisitSevierville.com for a handy guide to these spirited mountain beverages.
