Summertime in Gatlinburg is a time for a number of fun, family-friendly events. One of the most highly anticipated summer events in Gatlinburg is the River Raft Regatta. This annual race takes place along the Little Pigeon River during the Fourth of July.

About the Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta

The Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta is a free race held on July 4. Contestants send unmanned floating crafts down the Little Pigeon River. The first, second and third place contestants will receive a trophy. There are also trophies for the most creative float.

The Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta is the perfect competition for all ages.

Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta Schedule

Registration for the Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta begins at 10 a.m. at the Christ in the Smokies bridge. The race will kick off at noon and last until every floatable has crossed the finish line, located at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
