About the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel
Standing at 200 feet tall, the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel offers views of The Island, Pigeon Forge’s retail, dining and entertainment venue, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A centerpiece to Pigeon Forge, the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is one of the tallest attractions in the Southeast.
The wheel opened on June 21, 2013, and has been offering both guests and locals unparalleled views since.
Riding the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel
Board the glass gondola, accommodating up to eight guests, and enjoy the ride. A full ride takes between eight to minutes, going around four times. The climate-controlled gondolas allow you to ride through all four seasons.
Ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel in the evening to catch a bird’s-eye view of The Island’s water light show. The wheel itself even has a light show featuring 24,000 square feet of LED lights.

Adults (ages 12 and older): $16.99 | Children (ages 3–11): $11.99
If you plan on riding the wheel twice in one day, purchase the Day/Night Combo for $22.99. This lets you take in the day-time views and the light show in the evening.
