Top November Events in the Tennessee Smokies
Nov. 1-30: Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas
Dollywood hosts its Smoky Mountain Christmas, presented by Humana. This family-friendly holiday celebration invites guests from all over to spend their Christmas season at Dollywood. Dollywood will feature an array of traditional Christmas activities and events, including millions of lights around the park, award-winning shows and the 50-foot-tall Christmas tree. Nov. 1: Grains and Grits Spirits Festival
The Townsend Grains & Grits Festival is a festival of southern spirits and gourmet grub. Come experience our thriving craft spirits and gourmet food community, while discovering some of the region’s legendary distillers and blenders, taking place in the Peaceful Side of the Smokies.
Nov. 6: Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff
Indulge in mouthwatering chili at the Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff. Presented by Bush’s Chili Beans, local restaurants will compete to see who will win People’s Choice for best chili in Gatlinburg. The event in downtown Gatlinburg will also feature live music.
Nov. 6-Feb 15, 2026: Pigeon Forge Winterfest
The Tennessee Smokies region lights up with over five million holiday lights during Smoky Mountain Winterfest. Pigeon Forge, in particular, creates a winter wonderland from November until February with dazzling light displays, holiday shows and more.
