Blake Shelton Brings Ole Red to Gatlinburg

There is no shortage of fantastic restaurants in Gatlinburg. The Parkway alone is filled with locals and visitors strolling along for their next meal. Among the countless restaurants in downtown Gatlinburg comes a new addition. Country music singer Blake Shelton recently opened Ole Red, a restaurant in music venue, on the Gatlinburg Parkway.

About Ole Red

Offering signature drinks, authentic southern cuisine and an all-around good time, Ole Red was inspired by Blake Shelton himself. Named after Shelton’s hit song “Ol’ Red,” the restaurant embodies a fun, laid-back atmosphere, incorporating made-from-scratch dishes and live entertainment.

Shelton opened the first Ole Red location in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Following that he opened a Nashville location. The Ole Red Gatlinburg location opened March 2019. An Orlando, Florida location is currently in the works for 2020.

About Ole Red Gatlinburg

Shelton announced the Gatlinburg location back in 2018 and said, “Gatlinburg is one of my all-time favorite places. This part of the country is full of people who love good food, great music, family and, most importantly, a good time. That’s what Ole Red is all about.”

Ole Red Gatlinburg fills the vacancy of the former Riverbend Mall. Renovations included developing the site into a 16,000-square-foot multi-level attraction. The venue is two stories, with a bar, restaurant, outdoor terrace, gift shop, stage and dance floor. Shelton said he wants toe venue to give Gatlinburg a late-night party vibe.

Ole Red Gatlinburg officially opened March 11, 2019 with a week-long celebration called “Spring Blake.” The event featured live performances from contestants on “The Voice,” scavenger hunts and even a performance from Shelton himself.

Ole Red Gatlinburg Menu

The entire menu, from the appetizers and entrees to the beer and cocktails, have been approved by Shelton.

Perfect for sharing, order the Champagne of Fried Chicken. Served in a champagne bucket, this chicken is fried to perfect and brined in Miller High Life beer.

Try the Redneck Nachos, piling chicken, cheese, jalapeños, avocado, sour cream, barbecue sauce and green onions onto kettle chips. Or the Ober Gatlin-burger, a pork burger named after popular nearby attraction Ober Gatlinburg. Ole Red even has a kid’s menu, perfect for the pickiest eaters.

Dessert is always a crowd pleaser. You’ll certainly want to finish your meal with Turtle Funnel Cake, banana pudding with Lucky Charms™ or a slice of Ole Red Velvet Stack Cake.

Complement your meal with a draft, bottle or can of beer, or a glass of wine. The signature cocktails are not to be missed. Many cocktails are even made with local Ole Smoky spirits.
