Smoky Mountain Winterfest
Smoky Mountain Winterfest is an amazing weekend discipleship encounter that started with a few youth groups just over the mountain at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
For 39 years now, Winterfest continues to be a life-changing spiritual tsunami that spans the globe in 23 locations annually. What God inspired as a “Mountain-Top Moment” became a movement! In 2000, a great leap of faith was taken to move to the Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville, TN, where the encounter resided until just this past year.
It brings us great joy in the Youth & Discipleship family to be moving back to our “roots”, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. With this move, Smoky Mountain Winterfest will continue to see a dynamic discipleship encounter carried out by youth pastors and leaders alike to impact a generation for God.
The Winterfest Experience has touched many lives and we continue to hear testimonies like this: “I was saved at Winterfest,” “I was filled with the Holy Spirit at Winterfest,” “I was delivered from drugs/alcohol at Winterfest,” “Depression and anxiety were broke off my life at Winterfest.” This is our “Roots!”
Winterfest is a Spirit-filled student ministry conference and a passionate worship experience hosted by the Church of God Youth & Discipleship Department and we cannot be more excited to be hosting this encounter in the beautiful LeConte Center this year!
