The theaters in the Smokies are truly one-of-a-kind and offer a wide range of family-friendly performances that never fall short of amazing.

Comedy Shows

Located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, The Comedy Barn is celebrating over 23 years of providing good, clean family comedy. Known as “The Most Successful and Most Attended Clean Comedy Theater in the World,” it’s a family attraction that features a wide range of entertainment, such as ventriloquists, jugglers, magicians, singers, trained animals and some of the best comedians in the nation! This show has been seen by over seven million visitors and receives standing ovations nightly. Open year-round, The Comedy Barn has two shows every night in season at 5 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., as well as some scheduled matinees for groups throughout the season.

Musical Shows

Another popular theater you will find on the Parkway is The Smoky Mountain Opry, the area’s largest musical variety show starring a talented cast of singers, dancers, aerialists, comedians and musicians! The family entertainment show includes all different types of music: country hits—both old and new—today’s pop, the best of Broadway, ‘60s review, gospel, patriotic music and sidesplitting comedic juggling. The Smoky Mountain Opry has it all! Southern Living magazine named The Smoky Mountain Opry as the “don’t miss variety show” in Pigeon Forge.

Repeatedly voted as the Best Show in the Smokies, Country Tonite Theater is a two-hour powerhouse of large-scale production numbers featuring talented singers, dancers and musicians. Moving at a nonstop pace, the lineup also features youth performers and sidesplitting comedy, which makes the show a must-see! The 2019 season promises to surpass all expectations as they combine country classics with hot new country hits and hilarious comedy in this fast-paced show.

Magic Shows

For more magical entertainment, head over to WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge to check out The Wonders of Magic. Magician, Terry Evanswood is the longest running headline performer in town. For years, all ages have flocked to his shows. With jaw-dropping illusions and audience participation, this is a show you won’t want to miss.

Dinner Theater Shows

If you are looking to watch an amazing performance but haven’t eaten dinner yet, head over to The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud and become a part of the longest running feud in history. The Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud in Pigeon Forge is a hilarious family-friendly hit production inspired by real-life events. The show offers guests extraordinary country, bluegrass and gospel musical performances, award-winning hillbilly musicians, cloggers, diving dogs and a huge mountain feast. The feud is kicked off every day at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. with occasional 2 p.m. matinees. Granny’s “all you can eat” mountain feast includes fried chicken, pork barbecue, creamy soup, mashed taters, corn on the cob, bread, coleslaw and dessert. Vegetarian/vegan, gluten free and dairy free options are available.

But that’s not the only famous family feud that goes down in the Smokies. Enjoy dinner in a unique way at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction, where you will experience a friendly North and South competition, thrilling horse riding stunts, spectacular special effects, musical productions and, of course, a delicious four-course meal with a dessert. Dolly’s newest dinner show is Dolly Parton’s Pirates Voyage. The Island in Pigeon Forge is the stage for Crimson and Sapphire pirates to battle on deck, in the water and in the sky while you enjoy a four-course pirate feast.

The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Theater in Pigeon Forge features three hilarious shows and a three-course meal you will “die” for! The different shows include “Moonshine Murders,” the aftermath of Uncle Bessie selling his highly sought-after moonshine recipe to the local distillery; “The Killbillies” and “Who Shot the Sheriff.”  This small and intimate theater has grown in popularity over the years due to its interactive shows and delicious dinner.
