July 3–4
First July Fourth Parade in the Nation!

At the stroke of midnight, Gatlinburg will celebrate our country’s independence with the “First July Fourth Parade in the Nation!” This celebrated event pulls out all the stops—marching bands, floats, balloons and more!

River Raft Regatta

Dropping stuff in the river has never been more fun! Unmanned river rafts (hand-made designs or anything that floats) will be dropped into the Little Pigeon River and raced to the finish line. Awards will be given for each category. This fun-filled event is free!

 

July 4
Gatlinburg’s Fireworks Finale

The best place to be at 10 p.m. on July 4 is Downtown Gatlinburg. You will love their amazing, 20-minute fireworks show! Camp out at traffic lights #3 and #5 for the best view.

Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair

5th Annual Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival

Throughout Gatlinburg, the sounds of amazing music will fill the air. This celebration of songwriters and songwriting honors the mountain music of Tennessee. Throughout Downtown Gatlinburg, there will be 120 shows to choose from, as well as three ticketed concerts. This is a great time to visit the Tennessee Smokies.
