The towns within the Tennessee Smokies region are all year-round destinations. During fall, one of the biggest draws to the area are the beautiful fall colors. The trees within the Smoky Mountains transition from verdant greens to hues of red, orange and yellow.

Attend a Fall Festival

From September through November, fall festivals will pop up all around the Smoky Mountain region. From Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, these festivals can involve your favorite fall activities, including pumpkin picking, trick-or-treating, sipping cider and more. Pick Your Own Pumpkin

When you visit Pigeon Forge, Sevierville or Gatlinburg, be sure to visit one of the local farmers markets. Throughout the year, you can browse and pick your own locally grown fruits and vegetables to take home or back to your cabin. During fall, pick out a pumpkin for carving to baking into a delicious pumpkin pie.
